Split Rock Lighthouse Table Lamp, Minnesota

Split Rock Lighthouse has a 54-foot tower but sits on a sheer cliff 124 feet above the waters of Lake Superior. It had to be constructed there because the waters of the lake in that area were too deep to take navigational soundings. In addition, iron deposits in the area made magnetic navigation inaccurate. Constructed in 1910. Overall lamp height is 24″.
