Cape Cod Lighthouse Table Lamp, Massachusetts

Cape Cod Lighthouse, often referred to as Highland Light, was first built in 1798, rebuilt again in 1833, and again in 1857, when a 4 million-candlepower light was installed. Located in what is now the Cape Cod National Seashore, the tower stands 66 feet tall, but sits on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic, allowing it to rise 183 feet above the ocean. Due to constant erosion of the seashore, the entire lighthouse was moved back from the edge of the eroding cliff in 1998. Overall lamp height is 24″.
