Built in 1821, this venerable tower is located at the entrance to Sandusky Bay, where Lake Erie's most severe weather takes place. The Marblehead Lighthouse was constructed to withstand hurricane-force winds, while its fourth-order Fresnel Lens a stop the 65-foot tower guides sailors to safe harbor in the Bay. Overall lamp height is 24".
